- Elements Massage in Chester has reopened under new ownership and management. Located at 170 Route 206 South in the Streets of Chester Shopping Mall, Elements Massage is now serving the communities of West Morris County. “What sets Elements apart is our ability to consistently provide a highly customized massage to meet the unique needs of each client, whether it is to provide relief from pain or stress or to simply help them relax,” said Studio Manager, Samantha Mazura. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to become a part of the West Morris business community and make a positive impact in our clients’ lives.” Once viewed as an expensive splurge, Elements is making therapeutic massage increasingly affordable and available to time-starved consumers who recognize the value of massage in maintaining their overall health and wellness. At Elements, we spend the time with you to understand your body’s problem areas, learn about your wellness goals and expected outcomes. We then match you to one of our skilled professional therapists for a custom massage experience. | David W. | Terrible Customer Service Experience My wife and I were sold on the Elements Massage "Wellness Program" approximately a year and a half ago when the Chester location was under different ownership. Every month, our credit card was charged and we were entitled to a massage. We were unable to make use of all of the massages as they were paid for, but we didn't feel concerned as they were still owed. When we attempted to schedule a massage, we found that the owners had gone out of business. We were not contacted by elements at either a location or corporate level to inform us of the need to use our earned massages. We learned that the location would be re-opened under new ownership and reached out to the new ownership to assist in resolving the situation. We were informed that the previous owners contacted everyone prior to going out of business (not the case. were you involved?), the current ownership would not honor the accrued wellness visits (a corporate sponsored program as I understand it....or at least a franchise wide marketing tactic), and that they were in no way responsible for the situation. The person on the phone did not even provide contact information at a corporate level that may be able to assist in resolving the situation. At this time, we paid roughly $250 for massages never provided and the franchise has taken no responsibility for the operation of this "wellness program" by its owners. We have not been advised of any possible recourse. This is terrible customer service and, seems to me, poor business decision making. Instead of honoring some free massages and retaining a customer paying for a massage every month, this business made the decision to abandon a customer that has been willing to purchase a massage every month. |
